Hands Off Latin America!

The Hands Off Venezuela campaign was started in December 2002 to defend the Bolivarian revolution against an American-backed coup intended to remove President Hugo Chavez. The work of the Campaign has been publicly recognised by president Chavez.

Since there have been serious movements to change society across Mexico (Oaxaca's teachers' strike and the revolutionary movement it started), Brazil (the Occupied Factories Movement), Ecuador, Bolivia, and other countries, Common Front is building the Hands Off Venezuela Campaign in solidarity with all these movements.

The example of Venezuela, and its cooperation with other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, is a model of society which Common Front discusses and learns from.

The basic principles of the Campaign are:

* solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution
* opposition to imperialist intervention in Venezuela
* building direct links with the revolutionary and trade union movement in Venezuela

If you agree with these basic ideas, get involved!
